-Edit Contact Information -Claim Ownership of this BusinessMountaineer Casino is the biggest joke of a Casino and Racetrack I have ever seen! Signs around the Pittsburgh area say "Only 45 minutes away" or "1 hour away" and this couldn't be further from the truth. Not only do you need to drive to Weirton, West Virginia, but you then have to drive on back 2 lane country roads for 30-40 minutes. The drive is terrible, and is not worth the effort. The casino is a dump. The nice thing about Mountaineer is that is has different rooms for slots and different themes in each room. However, the table games are awful. The chips are so dirty and have dirt and filth all over them. Even the $25 chips are dirty. EWWW!!! Anyways, the clientel that play at Mountaineer usually smell and are just locals that are trying to make a few bucks, which trust me, wont happen. The Pit Bosses are unprofessional and should be working at a fast food restaurant instead of at the casino as a pit boss. The racetrack is not connected to the casino and you actually have to get in your car and drive to it. The racetrack is large, but very old and run down. The racetrack does offer very good deals on food. The day I went was twenty cent hot dog and chips day. I managed to eat 3 hot dogs and a bag of chips for eighty cents!!! This was a huge plus! haha...
In short. AVOID MOUNTAINEER RACETRACK AND CASINO!!.
